Terms of Use
The short version
- Telliola is a beta. It's provided as is and may change or break.
- You are responsible for telling people that a call is recorded and for following recording laws.
- AI transcripts and recaps can be wrong — check anything important.
- Services you connect (Google, ElevenLabs, Anthropic, OpenAI, Apollo, Lusha) have their own terms.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Costless Inc., 1207 Delaware Ave, 2979, Wilmington, DE, USA (“Telliola”, “we”, “us”) for the use of the Telliola desktop app, the built-in service and telliola.com (together, the “Service”). By installing or using the Service you accept these terms. If you use it for an organization, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.
2. Beta
The Service is in closed beta. Features may be added, changed or removed, the app may contain bugs, and the built-in service may be limited, paused or ended. During the beta the built-in service is limited to 10 hours of audio per account per month; we may change limits with notice. Access to the beta is by invitation and we may end it at any time.
If paid plans are introduced, they will be offered under separate terms. You won't be charged unless you agree to a paid plan first.
3. Your licence to use Telliola
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app for your own work during the beta. You may not sell, rent or redistribute the app, remove its notices, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows this despite this restriction.
4. Recording consent is your responsibility
Telliola records calls on your own computer and does not announce itself to other participants. Before you record, you must:
- tell everyone on the call that it is being recorded, and get their consent where the law requires it;
- follow the recording, privacy and employment laws that apply to you and to each participant — they differ between countries and regions;
- respect any confidentiality obligations that cover the conversation.
You are responsible for the recordings you make and for how you use them, transcripts and recaps.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- record anyone secretly or unlawfully, or use the Service to harass, stalk or surveil people;
- process content you have no right to process, or that infringes others' rights;
- try to get around usage limits, share your beta account, or overload, probe or attack our systems;
- use contact look-ups to send spam or for any purpose the connected provider's terms forbid;
- use the Service for anything illegal.
We may suspend or end access to the built-in service or the beta if you break these rules.
6. Your content
Your recordings, transcripts and recaps belong to you (and, where applicable, to the other participants). We claim no ownership. You give us permission to process them only as needed to run the features you use — for example, to transcribe and summarize audio you send to the built-in service. We don't use your content to train AI models.
If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve Telliola without any obligation to you.
7. AI output
Transcripts and recaps are generated automatically by third-party AI models. They may contain mistakes, misattribute who said what, or miss things. Review them before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial or other important decisions.
8. Third-party services
Telliola works with services run by other companies: Google (sign-in, Calendar, Gmail), ElevenLabs, Anthropic, OpenAI, Apollo, Lusha and LinkedIn, and with the call apps you use. When you connect them, their own terms and privacy policies apply. If you use your own API keys, any fees those providers charge are between you and them. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability or their changes.
9. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything important. Some jurisdictions don't allow excluding certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Telliola is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
11. Ending use
You can stop using Telliola at any time by uninstalling it; your local files stay on your computer until you delete them. We may suspend or end the beta or your access, and will try to give reasonable notice where we can. Sections 4, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 12 continue to apply after your use ends.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as the Service develops. We'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, tell beta testers by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
